Galilee Management was established in 2019 by the late Galil (Joe) Azzam and his son, Demetry, to provide a variety of commercial and project management services to public and private clients.

Galil (Joe) Azzam was a highly respected and in-demand engineer with over 50 years of experience. Joe held several senior positions in the private and public sectors, working with contractors and clients in various industries and across multiple disciplines. He also had significant international experience having worked in diverse countries such as the Middle East, Italy, France, Mongolia and Indonesia. Joe advised and presented to top level management, having the unique ability to delve into detail where required with a keen eye on the big picture and a strong commercial acumen. 

Joe was passionate about training the next generation of engineers and sharing his knowledge as widely as he could. He became a mentor to many young engineers with many of them now continuing his legacy by going on to become Directors and CEOs of both private companies and government organisations.

Demetry Azzam has 20 years experience in the Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Mining and Petrochemical industries and holds degrees in Engineering & Commerce. He has held Senior Project Engineer, Cost Control and Estimating positions, with one of the most recent being the national Estimating Manager position for a large international contractor, managing up to 15 direct reports and winning over $6 billion dollars worth of work. 

As Director and Principal Consultant at Galilee Management, Demetry is a solutions focused professional with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Demetry is passionate about training, supporting small businesses and systems improvement, always looking for ways to improve on current practises and using the latest technologies to achieve best for project outcomes.
